By Fritz-kola I was commissioned this spring to design and make a cocktail menu from Fritz-kola for the super chill bar, Klein Berlijn (Little Berlin) in Utrecht.
had so much fun playing with the fonts and designing a chalkboard menu that was also a mural painting. This picture is from a half-way stage.
For this Craftbeer shop in Amsterdam I was asked to do the lettering. These may well be the biggest I've done so far. Go get yourself a nice beer in Jan Pieter Heijestraat and check out the lettering above the bar!
These chalkboards hang right in the middle of the Amsterdam's Foodhallen; a hip and happening food court in Oud West. The goal was to get a distinct and legible menu, but also to depict Vietnamese street food in an attractive and recognizable way.
I was amazed at the possibilities presented by chalkboard markers, especially when it comes to drawing food. The delicious fresh rice paper rolls certainly helped with inspiration!
Bagels & Beans
n the corner of Willem de Zwijgerlaan and Jan van Galenstraat in Amsterdam, you will find pretty colorful chalkboards above the coffee counter. They are quite the eye-catcher in this cosy café.
I used a range of colors in these chalkboards, creating color blocks.
